You Are Invited to Attend: Importation of Biologicals Workshop – October 10, 2017 – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

This event will be held in the Great Lakes rooms on the fourth floor of the University of Michigan Palmer Commons facility, located in the center of our Life Sciences Complex at 100 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48109.

We plan to begin the day with breakfast between 8:30 am – 9:00 am.  Kimberly Nott, of U.S. Customs and Border Protection will open the day’s presentations at 9:00 am.

The presentations will differ from last year’s talks and will offer additional information relating to the international importation of biological shipments for testing and research.  Our guest presenters include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).  Additionally, there will be an Import Specialist who will provide information related to the role of a customs broker for biological importations.  Our tentative agenda is attached.
