The webinar will be from 9-10 AM (Central Time)/ 10-11 AM (Eastern)
In 2024, the University of Michigan (U-M) Medical School rolled out a lab safety awareness contest for research laboratories. A quiz was developed that included questions related to biological and chemical research and addressed frequent and/or high-risk inspection deficiencies and incidents on the medical campus. Prizes were chosen that supported and improved safety in the areas the quiz covered. There will be time for Q&A.

The University of Michigan will host the U.S.Customs & Border Protection Importation of Biologicals Workshop on May 6, 2025. The workshop will include representatives from several federal government agencies who will share their responsibilities, discuss regulatory and safety challenges of importing biological materials, how to prepare materials for proper transport , and how to apply for the necessary permits. We would like to invite members of the EHS community to join us for this opportunity for outreach and education. We would also welcome you to invite other colleagues or researchers who you think may benefit from this workshop. Pre-registration is required..
