U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations – Detroit Field Office will be hosting the 2021 Importation of Biologicals Workshop via the virtual platform of Webex on August 24-26, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. EDT each day.

Join subject matter experts from across eight (8) federal agencies as they provide guidance on the safe and compliant importation of biological materials. CBP representation will be provided by components that include Agro-Bioterrorism Countermeasures (ABTC), the Detroit Field Office, and the Biological Threat Exclusion Program. Other partner agencies presenting will include the U.S. Federal Select Agent Program (FSAP), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Each day will be organized into 3-4 presentations with time allotted for questions and answers. Please register for each day’s event to attend as many or as few presentations on that day as your schedule permits.

Registration for each day is limited to 1,000 participants due to the virtual platform, so early registration is recommended.
