Jyl Burgener has worked in the Agriculture, Agri-Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Industries both as a researcher and as a Biosafety Officer for over 35 years. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, a Master of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginiga and an MBA degree from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
Jyl is the past president of two ABSA affiliates, the Midwest Area Biosafety Network (MABioN) and the Carolinas Biosafety Association (CABSA.) She has been a member of ABSA for over 20 years is both a Registered. and Certified Biosafety Professional (RBP, CBSP).
Her areas of interest and expertise include: Biotoxins, Laboratory Animal Allergies, and R&D Environments.
