MARK YOUR CALENDAR for August 7-9, 2023 for the 19th Hybrid Annual MABioN Biosafety Symposium in Lexington, Kentucky, hosted by the University of Kentucky. The MABioN Annual Symposium is a two day conference for biosafety professionals and others involved in biosafety. The Symposium opens at 1pm on Monday and concludes after lunch on Wednesday. Presentations on various topics related to biosafety are planned for Monday afternoon, all day Tuesday and Wednesday morning. An optional half-day pre-conference workshop will be held Monday morning, and an optional facility tour on Wednesday Morning. Come and network with biosafety professionals in the Midwest area and learn and share information about biosafety.
We are currently seeking abstracts for scientific program presentations. The goal is to present a wide array of information that would be of interest to our membership. You DO NOT need to be a member to present at the symposium and this would be a good opportunity to present at a regional ABSA affiliate without having to travel too far (or at all). Additionally, presenters will have the option to present in person or virtually. Please complete the call for papers submission form no later than July 10, 2023. Submit your abstract by clicking the link below:
For current MABioN members who present at the symposium, your name will be entered in a drawing for free ABSA International 66th Annual Biosafety and Biosecurity Conference registration (Omaha, Nebraska). One (1) winner will be chosen at the conclusion of the symposium whose 2023 ABSA conference registration fee* will be paid by MABioN.
*Does not include preconference course fee or any other expenses. Winner must confirm that he/she is planning on attending the upcoming 2023 ABSA conference and has other funding source(s) for all other expenses
Remember, biosafety presentations at ABSA affiliate meetings may be eligible for CM points!
